Comment by John Murray on December 13, 2011 at 2:04pm Anyone wanting to learn system gain structure might be interested in the DVD I made on the topic a few years ago. It was NSCA's first on-line class. It has everything you need to know about audio levels, metering and gain structure.
Comment by Jon Anderhub on December 12, 2011 at 8:09pm Being involved in HOW I would be interested in training for volunteers in both theory and equipment, however, being out here in the boondocks finding either that is economical or easily accsesible is difficult, especially for "hands on" training.
Comment by J. B. Taylor on December 12, 2011 at 3:30pm I'm always on the lookout for good training opportunities. Online would be great. I've got at Roland M-400. I've tried to find Roland's seminars, but they have been few and far away.
Comment by Matt Melchiorre on December 12, 2011 at 2:48pm I'd be interested in ANY technical training seminars, specifically audio console training classes/seminars.
I'll get the ball rolling here. What kinds of education, training and seminars would YOU find most valuable? What topics, and what format? Is online training useful, (or even possible) in this field?
Do you have interest in learning more about the business in which you operate, for example, if you do theatrical sound, are you interested in the business of producing?
Are you looking for more technical training, or a broader exposure to the theory and practical stuff?
