To weight or not to weight measurements’ when using SMAARTv6 in venues

I currently set up my rigs using SMAARTv6 with no weighting, is that the way to go or should I set up with "A" weighting? "A" weighting would give me a more pronounced low end but I don't want system to deviate too much from flat. So I ask...electronically flat or human perception flat when I FFT/real-time?

Congratulations, Daniel ! SOunds like you are on your way.....

I am just finishing the tooling of the final piece. I had a three month lag in time trying to get the side address overhead working better than a PE 30 ....after much time nad money, it just can't happen so we are using PR 30 overheads but they will be finished in Black. It just doesn't get better for overheads! Stay tuned.

Hi Daniel
Thanks for your report. Yes, the PR 35 element is not just 'another' microphone. It truly is a new step forward in technology and time for the industry to rid the stages of their 40 year old ball mics !

You are testament of that. I appreciate your report and look forward to helping you with the rest of your microphones.

Easy, Daniel...They are condensers! NO place for ANY condenser on a live stage - BUT you have never had proper dynamic technology to experience -until now. Our new patented tom mount is very cool. The overheads are simply outrageous and then there is that monster kick drum PR 48. You are in for a HUGE treat. Get set!

Wait until our drum kits hit the market in about two months, Daniel. Over two years of hanging out with some of the indsutries leading drummers. Bringing their dreams and desires to reality. About time. Don't need any more plastic Chinese toys! The Handi Mic is just a slight 'peek' of what is to come! Stay tuned!

Oh My. what a great guy. I am certain you kow the history. Bill was one of the Heil Sound reps traveling around in his motor home with those wonderful fiberglass speakers, purple modular mixers and amplifiers. Again - gear that was way ahead of its time.....and here we are again on the the 'other' end of the wire! Tell Bill "hello" for me.

Thank you, Daniel. The new technology we have brought to the industry in the PR 35 is certainly waking up the 'troops'. Just today, we shipped our first RC 35 - the replacement capsule for your screw on wireless. Talk about a wireless ! Stay in touch. Always here to help.
