Bob White was 93 years young. He will be truly missed! WHITE, ROBERT ADAMS WHITE, age 93, passed away peacefully at home April 28, 2011. He was born in Cleveland, OH. Bob graduated from Shaker Hts. H.S. (1936), Howe Military School (1937), and from Western Reserve University (1941), He entered the U.S. Army in 1943, where he was an Army Officer at the Ordinance School. Bob grew up playing most band instruments and after being discharged as a W.W. II vet in 1946, he traveled west and formed the Bob White Trio. He then married singer and dancer Mariellen Talbott, and formed the Bob White Quartet, and appeared at The Golden Nugget, The Desert Inn, The Sahara and others. Upon returning to Cleveland, he started Bob White Associates as a manufacturer's representative for professional audio. Bob was a competitive tennis player and won the Cleveland Publix Park Championship for Singles in 1970. In 1997, he was ranked Number one in the 75 Singles Division. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Geauga Humane Society–Rescue Village. Bob wanted not flowers nor tears, but laughter and music to honor a good, long life. He was an incredibly loving, caring, supportive, friendly and funny husband, father, grandfather and friend - He was the best! A memorial service celebrating his life will be Tuesday, May 3rd.
