Tony Tartaglia commented on Bill Evans's group Theory & Practice
"Aall great comments, Don has the best one. Your problem sounds like a bad cable making a shoeted connection on your front nine in a wall unit or breakout box. As a professional audio engineer I have come to the point where I will NOT purchase any…"

Tony Tartaglia commented on George's Pro Sound Company's blog post audio 101 from Mike Gaster
"I absolutely agree with all that was said in this post. One additional thing I would add is... The FOH engineer is in charge of the house sound, do not let the musicians dictate how LOUD their rigs are going to be. They cannot reach row 200 at…"

George's Pro Sound Company replied to Tony Tartaglia's discussion Diversification.

Diversification.

In these lean times when the phone is not ringing, I took it upon myself to make my soundco SONIQUALITY a little more marketable. I just became a Certified Protools Operator. I will now offer on site recordings(for a nominal fee) for every band or artist that performs. I am hoping that this will drive some excitement into the field. Any thoughts or experiences with this will be helpful

Tony Tartaglia replied to George's Pro Sound Company's discussion for those new to riders
"This up & coming is basing his whole show on tech instead of ability. He'll give **it to the soundco but when he can't sing and his musicians can't perform cause they're drunk from the night before, even with all of the HELP…"

Tony Tartaglia replied to Damon's discussion Going Digital Losses the Art of a MIX in the group Front of House
"Enter another old fart with his archaic opinions. I too have been 'runnin sound' and I'm not bad at it. I still believe it's in the mix, not the toys. I have my venerable YamahaPM3000C-40 that I and my customers rely on. The new…"

Tony Tartaglia replied to George's Pro Sound Company's discussion for those new to riders
"I have done a number of larger A gigs and when they request/demand a new digital board I ask whats wrong with my Yamaha PM3000c-40, They all say BRING IT. Like what was said before , it's not the toys, it's the experience with the toys…"

Tony Tartaglia replied to Andrei Petrovitch's discussion Another time alignment thread...this time re. Monitors in the group Theory & Practice
"In my experience, if the volume of the stage mix is proper, that is to say it just falls off the stage at 1-2 meters then the phasing of the monitor field is of no concern. no one in front of the stage will hear it. The band won't care because…"
